The medical professionals at Newark Advanced Vein Center have expertise in treating a variety of vascular conditions. Listed below are some of the conditions that we treat.
Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are enlarged veins near the surface of the skin which may be troubling both cosmetically and medically. They occur most frequently in the legs but may exist elsewhere in the body.
Varicose veins can affect both men and women. There are many treatment options available for the treatment of varicose veins, depending on the severity of the individual case.
Pelvic Varicose Veins
Patients with pelvic varicose veins, or pelvic congestion syndrome, may be asymptomatic. They may also experience troubling symptoms, primarily pain in the region.
Women suffer more frequently with pelvic varicose veins, but men are also susceptible to the problem. Pelvic varicose veins may be invisible, particularly when the patient is lying down.
Clusters of red and purple veins on the face and feet are embarrassing. At Vein Center Houston, we can help with those annoying spider veins on your face, legs, and feet.
We use sclerotherapy on the legs and feet and laser therapy on the face.
Anytime a wound won’t heal on the legs, usually the lower leg, this is a leg ulcer. The original wound could be a cut to the tissue, or the wound could simply develop in an area where the skin is not getting the nutrients and oxygen it needs from the blood, causing the tissue cells to die, forming a wound.
The term ulcer is applied when the condition lasts far longer than a normal injury to the skin should take to heal.
Spider veins, also known as telangiectasias, are small thin blood vessels visible beneath the skin. They usually develop on the face or legs, and may look like a series of thin tree branches or strands of a spider web.
Although most spider veins are only a cosmetic issue, for some people they can cause uncomfortable symptoms such as aching, burning, swelling and leg-cramping.
At our vein center, we are able to treat your vein conditions without the hassle of a hospital stay. Thanks to less invasive procedures, we are able to treat many varicose and spider veins within our office.
